LEADERSHIP MEANS DISCOMFORT if you are going to be a successful Leader, you are going to experience a great amount of discomfort. we live in a culture that worship comfort. During this century we have seen the greatest assault on discomfort in the history of  the human race. We have learned to control our environment with central heating and Air conditioning. we have reduced drudgery with machines and computers. and learned to control pain, depression, and stress. we even provide electronic antidotes to boredom with television set and video games.  Most of this is to the good, but unfortunately it has created an impression that the purpose of life is to attain a blissful state of nirvana, a total absence of struggle or strain. the emphasis is on consuming not producing; on short-term hedonism rather than long-term satisfaction. we seek immediate gratification of our desires, with no penalties. Life just doesn't work that way, at least not for many and not for long. one ...

CHRIST’S INVITATION “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest” Matt. 11:28 The text which heads this note is one which deserves to be written in letter of Gold. The speaker of this invitation before you is the greater and best friend that man has ever had. He is the lord Jesus Christ, the eternal son of God. He is one who is Almighty. He is very God of very God. He has all power in heaven and earth.- in Him all fullness dwells - he has the keys death and hell. He is now the appointed Mediator between God and Man: he will one day be the Judge and king of all earth. When such an one as this speaks, you may safty trust Him. He is one who is most loving. He loved us so that he left heaven for our sakes, and laid aside for a season the glory that he had with the father.
